CAR PARKS NEAR ELMVIEW

On-Street Car Parking in Glengyle Terrace
There is metered parking in Glengyle Terrace on the left hand side of the road in front of Elmview, up to a maximum of 4 hours at GBP 2.00 per hour during the day. The parking ticket machine, located on the right hand side of the road opposite 14 Glengyle Terrace, prints the tickets in 15 minute increments (50 pence) to a maximum of 4 hours (GBP 8.00). Parking is free between 6.30 pm and 8.30 am from Monday to Saturday. Sundays are free all day. Free On-Street Car Parking
The nearest Free On-street parking is about 1 mile from Glengyle Terrace in any direction from the Southeast through to the West. Guests have in the past, unloaded their car, driven to the nearest street that has Free on-street parking and left their car there. They have either walked back or caught a taxi(take a mobile phone) (approx GBP 4.00) or bus back (GBP 1.00) to Elmview. Two suggested streets for Free On-street car parking is either Grange Loan (EH9 2HB) or Oswald Road (EH9 2HJ) or that area, which is approximately 1 mile SSE from Elmview. Both are quiet residential streets.

Riego Street Car Park (Underground car park)

The Riego Street car park is situated underneath Princes Exchange at Tolcross Junction. The entrance to the car park is in Riego Street, which is within 10 minutes walking distance from Elmview.
Directions by Car: At the end of Glengyle Terrace turn right into Leven Street. Go straight on at the first set of traffic lights (Kings Theatre) and stay in the right hand lane until the second set of traffic lights (Tolcross Junction). Turn half-right into Lauriston Place. At the first set of traffic lights you will pass the Premier Travel Inn on your left hand side. Take the next left onto Lady Lawson Street and first left at the first set of traffic lights. Change quickly into the right lane and go straight on at the next junction onto East Fountainbridge. Take the second turning on the left into Riego Street. The entrance to the underground car park is situated on the right hand side of the street.
To walk back to Elmview you need to exit the Car Park via the Tolcross pedestrian exit and then cross the Tolcross road junction into Brougham Place. Take the third road on your right into Leven Terrace and follow the road round into Glengyle Terrace (a 5 minute walk).

Beside the regular opening times, there is a flexible service with regard to retrieval of vehicles, where a 24 hour exit is provided via a buzzer system located at the main entrance to the office building at Princes Exchange, 1 Earl Grey Street.
Note: Due to City Council imposed restrictions there is no vehicular access to the car park between 0730 and 0930 hrs Monday - Friday.
However guests can still retrieve their vehicles and leave the Car Park during these hours

Castle Terrace NCP (Covered and Open-air Car Park)

The NCP Car Park is situated about 15 minutes walk away from Elmview towards the city centre. To get to the car park you need to drive to the end of Glengyle Terrace turn right into Leven Street. Go straight on at the first set of traffic lights (Kings Theatre) and stay in the left hand lane through the second set of traffic lights (Tolcross Junction) into Earl Grey Street and through 3 sets of traffic lights into Lothian Road. At the lowest point in Lothian Road, turn right into Castle Terrace. The Car Park is situated on your right hand side.
